Interior Design Trends for 2023 Part 1: Warm Neutrals

Writer's picture: Spotlight Staging & DesignSpotlight Staging & Design

Gone are the days of cool light greys and stark whites. We mean it!!! Please... STOP with the greys.

Expect to continue to see comforting, warm neutrals like creams, beiges and nudes. Look for accents of richer tones like taupe, camel, and rust. These help to create a cozy and inviting space.

If you've heard us speak on design over the past two years, we have been like a broken record. Covid has changed design and brought back an emphasis on comfort not just aesthetic.

In addition to these more traditional shades, we are seeing blush tones being used as a neutral. Take Sherwin Williams Color of the Year SW 9081 Redend Point for example.

We are seeing deep, dramatic accents in wallpapers, artwork, upholstery, and furnishings. This is a contrast to the monotone "all white, all light everything" designs we are so used to seeing.
